 Veteran's Day
« Thread Started on Nov 11, 2004, 7:45am »

:) I wasn't sure where to put this topic so hopefully it will get seen here.

Today is Veteran's Day. It's always been a day that I took notice of simply because it falls on the day preceeding my birthday, the kids are out of school, I take the day off, etc. etc.

After 9/11 however, I, like many of you I'm sure, have had a more intimate awakening to Patriotism and a renewed sense of support for what our country is founded on.

.................................Freedom

Did I take it for granted before?? Ashamedly I say yes. But after that day, never again !!!

We have the most amazing men and women serving us and protecting us today as well as all of those who have served before them.

Do take time to acknowledge their sacrifice and their contribution to the continued protection they serve our great Country.

Amen. !! ;D ;D

Happy Veteran's Day !!!

Amen, Laura! I'm sorry that I missed this yesterday. I also must say that I took our freedom for granted before 9/11, but never again.

I am very thankful for all of the men and women who served / are serving our county! God bless them!! :)
